Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

I N ST R U C T I O N S   T O   A U T H O R S (Part A & Part B)


  • Manuscripts should be submitted in a Single Copy together with one set of original diagrams, photographs and tables, a soft copy is required.
  • Papers should be written in English. They should be typed on A4 papers throughout with 5 line spacing and wide margins on numbered, single column pages.
  • The title page should contain the article title, author(s) names and affiliations. The author for correspondence must be underlined with her / his postal address, telephone, fax number and E. mail.
  • The next page should include; a) the article title, and b) an Arabic abstract of 80 - 200 words with 2-5 keywords decided by the author.
  • The text of papers submitted should be concise and lucid. Tables and Figures should not be placed in the body of the text, but their approximate location should be indicated.
  • The SI units should be used.
    • For manuscripts submitted to Part A, references in the text should be numbered consecutively within square brackets and listed together at the end of the text, For Part B, the Author and Year style should be employed, and the full paper titles should be included For Example:

     Reference Part A:            

  • [1] T. Mahmoud, H. D. Pandy and R. P. Sharma, Iraqi J. Laser A1, 21-22 (2002)

            Reference part B:

            Barker, S.B. and Summerson, W.H. (1954) The colometric determination of lactic acid in biological materials. J. Bio. Chem. 138, 535- 41.

  • A CD containing the electronic version of the text should be submitted together with the final accepted copy.
  • The Editorial Board reserves all rights to make stylistic and grammatical changes. Its decision regarding suitability of a manuscript for publication is final.
  • When the manuscript is accepted for publication, the copyright is transferred to the publisher.
  • A (25000 ID) should be paid for reviewing when the manuscript is submitted and another 30000 when it is accepted.
